Lord of the Rings (1978)

This is an original, one-sheet movie poster from 1978 for The Lord of the Rings featuring the voices of Christopher Guard, William Squire, Michael Scholes, John Hurt, Simon Chandler, Dominic Guard, and Norman Bird.  Ralph Bakshi directed the animated adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkein's classic fantasy novels.  Tom Jung is the artist for the poster.

The poster measures 27” x 41” and is in very good condition with staple holes in the corners from theatrical display (some have small tears from rough removal) and a few, faint spots of discoloration on the lower-left corner.  It was folded at the time of printing.  Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.
