This is an original French, double-grande movie poster from 1963 for Cleopatra starring Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Rex Harrison, Hume Cronyn and Roddy McDowall. Joseph L. Mankiewicz directed the historical epic. Howard Terpning is the artist for the poster.
The two-panel poster measures 63" x 93.25" and was printed in two sections designed to overlap. It is in very good condition with some darkening along some of the fold lines and tiny separations at a few of the cross-folds from long-term storage. It was folded at the time of printing. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.
Please look closely at the photo (this is the exact poster you are buying). The black squares around the edges of the poster are magnets and not pins.
This very rare and collectible poster, printed in 1963 to promote the French theatrical release of Cleopatra, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
