2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)

This is an original, linen-backed, Cinerama subway theatrical movie poster from 1968 for 2001: A Space Odyssey. The science fiction classic stars Gary Lockwood, Keir Dullea, William Sylvester, Daniel Richter, Leonard Rossiter, Robert Beatty and Douglas Rain. Stanley Kubrick directed the film. Bob McCall is the artist for the poster.

The poster measures 43” x 59.5” and was printed for display in New York transit stations in 1968. It has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. Prior to linen-backing the poster was in very good condition with some areas of discoloration on the white borders and some minor creasing. The poster has never been folded and is now in excellent, restored condition.

Please look closely at the photo (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not cropped or a stock image. The black squares in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
