This is an original, linen-backed, French Grande movie poster from 1994 for Pulp Fiction starring John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Uma Thurman, Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, Bruce Willis and Ving Rhames. Quentin Tarantino directed the film. Bernard Bittler is the artist for the poster.
Pulp Fiction premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May 1994 and was released theatrically in the fall. This poster was printed during the French theatrical release giving French filmgoers a "second chance" to see the much-discussed film. The text in the cartoon roughly translates as "It seems that some people still have not seen "Pulp Fiction". Do we add them to the pile or give them a second chance?"
The poster measures 45.5" x 61.75" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. The poster was in very good condition prior to restoration with a few creases and smudges along parts of the edges. It was folded at the time of printing but the folds are much less noticeable after restoration. After backing, the poster developed some light creasing along parts of the edges from rough handling.
Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not cropped or a stock image.
This rare and collectible poster, printed 1994 to promote the the French theatrical release of Pulp Fiction, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
