This is an original, Japanese B1 movie poster from 1981 for the initial, theatrical release of The Elephant Man starring Anthony Hopkins, John Hurt, Anne Bancroft, John Gielgud, Wendy Hiller, and Freddie Jones. David Lynch directed the film.
The poster measures 28.5" x 40.5" and is in good condition with wear along the edges including some small tears on the left edge and a longer tear on the top edge of the poster. I t was folded at the time of printing and there is some wear along the fold line and a few, scattered surface creases. The poster has been stored flat for many years and will be rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.
