This is an original, unfolded, insert movie poster from 1946 for The Big Sleep starring Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, John Ridgely, Martha Vickers, Dorothy Malone, and Louis Jean Heydt. Howard Hawks directed the classic, romantic film noir.
The poster measures 14" x 36" and has been paperbacked (attached to a very thin, acid-free paper backing for preservation, restoration and stability). Prior to restoration, the poster was in very good condition with some surface creases at the bottom of the poster and a few smudges and slight darkening along parts of the outer edges. The poster has never been folded. Due to the paperbacking, and to protect the poster, it will be shipped in a long, flat package.
