This is an original, insert theatrical movie poster from 1951 for An American in Paris starring Gene Kelly, Leslie Caron, Oscar Levant, Georges Guetary, and Nina Foch. Vincente Minnelli directed the classic, musical comedy.
The poster measures 14" x 36" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. It was in good to very good condition prior to restoration with pinholes from theatrical display and some wear and smudging along the edges and folds. The poster was folded at the time of printing. The fold lines are much less visible after linen-backing. The poster is stored flat and will be rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer. Please note that the restorer or a subsequent owner carefully trimmed away the excess linen-backing leaving the poster at the original size (likely for framing).
Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not cropped or a stock image. The black circles in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
