This is an original, one-sheet movie poster from 1972 for the U.S. theatrical release of Duck, You Sucker (later re-titled A Fistful of Dynamite) starring Rod Steiger, James Coburn, Romolo Valli, Maria Monti, Rik Battagila, and Franco Graziosi. Sergio Leone directed the Italian cowboy western. Robert McGinnis is the artist for the poster.
The Italian title for the film is "Giù la testa" which translates as "Down the Head." Director Sergio Leone reportedly personally chose the U.S. title "Duck, You Sucker" under the misimpression that it was a common, American expression. Once his mistake was realized, the film was re-titled A Fistful of Dynamite. This poster features the initial title for the film.
The poster measures 27" x 41" and is in very good to excellent condition with minimal wear from previous handling. It was folded the time of printing. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.
Please look closely at the photo as it is not cropped or a stock image. The black squares in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
This rare and collectible poster, printed in 1972 to promote the initial, U.S. theatrical release of A Fistful of Dynamite, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
